🧼 THE ROLE
As the Cleaning Crew Lead, you’ll be the main on-site contact during event days, making sure everything runs smoothly. You’ll coordinate with the Event Operations Lead (EOL), the Build & Break Crew Lead (B&BL), and festival site teams to keep PEEQUAL urinals in top condition.
🕐 Shifts: Generally 8-10 hours per day, with some shorter half-days (4-5 hours).
📍 Location: Various festivals and events across the UK.
🚿 LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee cleaning schedules, ensuring PEEQUAL units stay fresh and fully operational.
- Manage & motivate your crew, fostering a positive, hard-working team environment.
- Liaise with festival site teams, waste management, and the EOL to ensure smooth service.
- Respond to on-site issues (e.g., waste overflow, maintenance needs) and escalate when necessary.
- Track PEEQUAL-owned kit & manage consumables, reordering when needed.
- Work closely with the B&BL to ensure a seamless handover before and after the event.
🛠️ HANDS-ON RESPONSIBILITIES
- Regularly clean and maintain urinals, focusing on hygiene and touchpoints.
- Handle litter picking & waste disposal, keeping the PEEQUAL space tidy.
- Monitor waste levels, ensuring units are emptied on schedule.
- Deal with occasional ‘code brown’ moments—SH*T happens, and we’ll provide full PPE and training.
- Perform daily quality control & sign-off, ensuring everything meets PEEQUAL standards.
- Stay on-site in crew camping or provided accommodation when needed.
✅ WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
✔️ Festival or event site experience (preferred but not essential).
✔️ Strong leadership & communication skills—keeping your team on track is key.
✔️ A full UK driving licence (essential).
✔️ Physically fit & resilient—this is a hands-on, outdoor role.
✔️ Positive and proactive mindset—no two events are the same!
✔️ Comfortable around waste management—it’s the loo business, after all.
✔️ Reliable, flexible, and solution-focused.
🎉 THE PERKS
- Pre-season training so you’re festival-ready.
- Travel expenses covered (as per PEEQUAL policy).
- Crew catering (one meal per shift).
- Accommodation provided if crew camping isn’t an option.
- PPE provided for the messier jobs.
- Guaranteed & agreed hours (with some flexibility).
- Work at some of the UK’s biggest festivals and events (with time off to enjoy the event!).
